There is always something going on in farming and the last week has seen no exception.
I had the good fortune to be farming in Lincolnshire last weekend. This county is very varied from Marsh to Wold. With World record holders on the Wolds to farm land below sea level.
The weather during this season has also been unkind in Gloucestershire and Lincolnshire alike.
These photos show, farm access, the typical (grass) land use for this area and then some of the crops. Skyfall winter wheat, spring barley, dried peas and then winter barley which survived the winter flooding and now the seasonal “drought” cutting a familiar pattern on this deep clay.
