In spring 2019 flood meadow grassland looked well and went on to produce economic crops of silage and hay. There were the usual applications of clover safe materials to the swards to tidy them up prior to cutting and the response to fertiliser was economic.
This spring saw some very sorry looking fields after the 5 months of rain experienced here in Gloucestershire.
Herbicides can still be applied to combat predominantly the “buttercup” family but the production capabilities seem limited at this time.
